BS in CS and Mathematics from the University of Toronto; PhD from Oxford (paused to start Cohere). As a 20-year-old intern at Google Brain in 2017, was one of the eight co-authors of "Attention Is All You Need" — the paper that introduced the Transformer architecture underpinning all modern LLMs. Co-founded Cohere in 2019.
