The first open autoregressive native interleaved image-text generation model (841★, ICLR 2025 blog track) — built by un-lobotomizing Meta's Chameleon, restoring image generation with a data- and parameter-efficient finetune of the output head. A pre-SII GAIR release from Pengfei Liu's group that predated the wave of unified any-to-any generators.
