Apple Foundation Models 3 (AFM 3)

Apple's third-generation foundation model family, announced at WWDC 2026 and developed "in collaboration with Google": AFM 3 Core (3B dense, on-device), AFM 3 Core Advanced (20B sparse activating 1–4B parameters at a time via Instruction-Following Pruning, storing full weights in flash rather than RAM), AFM 3 Cloud (speed-optimized server model), ADM 3 Cloud (image generation/editing), and AFM 3 Cloud Pro — the most capable tier, for which Apple "worked with Google and NVIDIA to extend Private Cloud Compute to NVIDIA GPUs in Google Cloud." Powers the rebuilt Siri. Full technical report promised for later in summer 2026; parameters for the cloud models undisclosed.
