Much of its famous output ships through organizations we track separately, and this entry deliberately excludes it: THUDM/KEG model artifacts (GLM lineage) file under Z.ai, OpenBMB-branded THUNLP work (MiniCPM, Densing Law) under OpenBMB, the Bowen Zhou C3I/PRIME line (TTRL, MedXpertQA) under Shanghai AI Lab, Mooncake under Moonshot, and Vidu under the ShengShu spinout.
What remains under university branding is still first-rate. Gao Huang's LeapLab wrote the defining "limits of RLVR" paper (NeurIPS 2025 best-paper runner-up) and Absolute Zero self-play RLVR; Jun Zhu's TSAIL ships the RDT robot foundation models and the SageAttention/TurboDiffusion efficiency line that de-facto powers open video-generation inference; AIR (Ya-Qin Zhang) anchors biomedical and driving FMs; THUML pretrains the Sundial/Timer-XL time-series FMs (ICML 2025 Oral); MADSys built KTransformers; and Minlie Huang's CoAI leads the safety toolchain.
The institute map matters for attribution: LeapLab, TSAIL/thu-ml, AIR, IIIS (Andrew Yao), CoAI/thu-coai, FIB-LAB, MADSys, THUML, THU-MIG, and NICS-EFC publish under university orgs; 17 pre-existing outputs in this index already carry Tsinghua co-affiliations via the excluded channels.
